Had a fantastic 2 hour session at Hove on the old Windsurfer again. Didnt plane once but didnt mind, plenty of pull in the old sail most of the time. Had a fishing line out for the first time and it was really good fun. The mackerel were shoaling by the shingle, boiling up from the water with gulls and terns and anglers getting stuck in. The challenge was to follow the pack (birds and fish) and when they disappeared, spot where they surfaced again. Wind direction was cross off from the east meaning a long leg slightly out to sea, then sharp upwind back to the shore and a long down wind run along the beach. Perfect wind direction. Fish would be in front of you one minute so you bear downwind onto them, run the line through, flare gybe quick, sail into the wind, quick tack upwind of the leaping shoal and start again.

Unfortunately didnt catch a thing, but probably just as well!!
